ARP 4754 System Development Training Program

ARP 4754 (Aerospace Recommended Practice 4754) is a guideline developed by SAE International that defines the recommended processes for the development of civil aircraft and systems. It provides a framework for managing system requirements, design, integration, verification, validation, and certification activities to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards throughout the system lifecycle.

Heraklet’s ARP 4754 System Development Training equips engineers and managers with the knowledge to apply system-level development processes in line with certification requirements. This program emphasizes practical strategies for planning, requirement decomposition, traceability, and verification in airborne systems. Through expert-led sessions and real-world case studies, participants gain a clear understanding of how ARP 4754 integrates with DO-178C and DO-254 frameworks, ensuring total compliance and engineering rigor from concept to certification.

Participants can attend the training at Heraklet office at Hamburg, or we can deliver the training on-site at the customer’s facility upon request.

Training Outcomes
By the end of an ARP 4754 training program, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the structure and purpose of ARP 4754 and its role in aircraft and system development,
  • Apply the recommended lifecycle processes for system requirements, design, implementation, verification, and validation,
  • Recognize how ARP 4754 integrates with related standards such as ARP 4761, DO-178C, and DO-254,
  • Identify key activities and deliverables required for certification compliance,
  • Understand safety considerations and how system safety assessments align with development processes,
  • Collaborate effectively across system engineering, safety, and certification teams,
  • Apply best practices in managing system development projects in the aerospace context.
